There are a few groups who use them. Old people with physical impairments, no doubt, are one. The other group are people hiking long distances over varying terrain who understand the advantage of using poles.
The people who don’t use them are people who might hike some but their focus is on other outdoor activity, like hunters and fishers, and people training for combat. Bushcrafters don’t because they’re not hiking far. Same with GI Joe larpers.
