My bag for general innawoods dicking around. I use it when I go clean trails, go foraging, day hiking, or overnight camping. The exact contents vary slightly depending on what i'm up to. The bag is a Finnish surplus gas mask bag. One loop to go over the shoulder and another to go around the waist. Very comfortable. On the outside of the bag I keep my puukko. I keep my hatchet (wetterlings) on my belt. Inside are 4 little pouch areas. The first has a package of cotton wipes/towel things, came with the gas mask. The next two pouches have a multitool, small pad of paper, pen, and pencil. The last pouch has a small bottle of powdered soap, came with the gas mask. Inside the main compartment of the bag I keep a stainless steel cup, with a roll of toilet paper nested inside, grand trunk hammock, walmart 5'x7' nylon tarp, 1 50' length 2 25' length paracord, firestarting kit inside an altoid tin, med kit inside altoid tin, small roll of gorilla tape wrapped around old credit card, 40 oz. clean canteen, 2 plastic grocery bags, and food for whatever I am up to. It's a tight fit for everything, but it can fit. I actually also have room enough leftover to add a book.
