Went looking for one at my local store today and man was it disappointing. So much plastic and flimsy super thin metal...
My dad has a landing net he bought in the 70's, all aluminium construction and thick aluminium at that, heavy duty net that has never been changed or repaired, I think it's an Abu Garcia but the markings are long gone, of course he doesn't want to lend it to me lmao.
It kinda looks like pic related but with a different net.
