>>1734494In the military there are a lot of places I go to/work in where you're not allowed to have a phone or any other electronic device other than a basic watch, so it helps. Also if you're an avid outdoor person especially on the more extreme side like multiday backpacking, or mountain climbing, or some watersports, having a garmin or sunto smart watch is very helpful in keeping track of your environment and being able to navigate the terrain around you. Other than that I think their just clothing accessories since most people honestly have no need for a watch.
