>>2092361If you've got the backpacking gear then you're definitely capable, it's just a pain in the ass because of how far you have to hike and how few trails stay in the alpine. Most of the trails that go above tree line are just out and backs too. If you want to through hike or spend a week in the backcountry, your high elevation options are really limited. You can certainly get pretty high up, but those places are generally isolated and are short lengths of trail.
Pic is a map of the park, and I've indicated the really high elevation sections of trail with red. To give you a sense of scale, that length of trail I've highlighted in the northwest corner is about 10 miles long.
