there's a rule for almost every snocross (snowmobile) racing organization that requires 144 sq. in. of orange on your body and 50% orange on your helmet ... Even boondocking, blacks/whites blend into the terrain really well... so orange is kind of nice to have. And should I ever require rescue, orange is a lot easier to see...
That and my dirt bike's orange, and matching gear makes you a better rider.
