>>302509well i camp in my hammock spring-autumn without the underquilt, just with one or both of my bags, and i'm fine - if not hot - at night (new england here). the quilt is very light but mine takes up some room so it has to be around freezing or particularly raw for me to bother with it. that said, aside from sweletering summer every sleep with the underquilt tends to be comfortable as fuck
