I see lots of pro guys talking about running cranks and rattlers like that, just running them into the bottom the whole time. Unfortunately I'm not sponsored so running $8 lures into the rocks on purpose all day kinda makes me nervous. If I could confirm it was just a sandy or muddy bottom, it wouldn't be so bad.
