>>1426915Yeah I originally wanted to make it out of metal but the typical home improvement stores don’t really carry any of that stuff so I just used crap I had sitting in my garage. I still want to grab a hinge and latch so I can make a door on the front. The plug for the 120v cord is mounted nice and flush on the back and then the actual cable when you want to hook it up to AC is stored in the box so it’s not just hanging off the thing while using battery power. Take it off, plug it into the wall, plug it into the back. Also the cable to charge the lead acid battery is in the box so a door would keep that contained until needed. It’s like pic related so you can hook it up to any car battery charger/tender.
I wanted to charge the battery off the AC power supply, but it doesn’t exactly work. Stuff in the power supply started glowing and smoking. If I can figure that part out, then I can have one plug that will charge the battery and run it off AC power at the same time.
