Right before legal shooting light I sneak around the pond to get close to the flock. First duck I shoot is usually the biggest one, still in the water. After that the whole flock starts flying and I get two more airborne ducks. I quickly reload and try for a few more. After the first wave I drive to another near by pond and do the same thing until the ducks settle back into the water. I use a fishing pole with treble hooks to retrieve my ducks. I hunt for meat, not for sport. It’s perfectly legal to shoot sitting ducks in the water but “elitists” believe it’s immoral. I live in a desert state with barely any water, so I’ll take what I can get. If I had more money I’d get all set up with decoys and a blind, but my method works for now.
Oh and btw, pls pick up your shells. Good luck out there
