>>1557897That's the thing, I need casting. I can cast with a spinning rod for bass just fine but when I'm casting every 20 seconds for hours at a time honestly the only way to do it is with a casting setup. In addition the big standard sodacan reels that are the usual for muskie fishing are too bulky for me and I'm willing to pay money for an ergonomic design when I'm gonna be casting nonstop.
>>1557900>>1557899>>1557918>>1557924I totally agree. The hand switching is so foolish, especially when bass fishing I'll get strikes as soon as my bait hits the water. If I had to switch hands I'd loose those fish.
>>1557910I have an abu pro max with a 7:1:1, if it's all about line capacity I am perfectly fine with the amount of braid I put on even for big fish. Can that reel handle heavy baits? I dont really understand how to gauge that stuff.
>>1557930Like the other anon said early early mornings, you gotta leave before it gets light. Also cast under overhanging trees in the shade. Trout hate light and heat. You may get hung up a lot but I caught most of my summer fish that way last year.
