I've been thinking about using fireworks as a deterrent in a bear encounter. The mortar shells have a very long wick. I'm thinking if I cut them to 3-4 inches that will be better. I have a few questions though.
1. Would a cylinder or round mortar shell firework be better?
2. How about roman candles?
3. Should I use the mortar with the tube and shoot it at the bear or would throwing it like a grenade be a better method?
4. I also have some small pancake type fireworks that are multi-shot. Would these be a better option?
