Am I the only one who thinks this could actually be a decent reel? I mean 50%+ of the cost of any other reel comes from the brand name, R&D, and paying for Kevin Van Dam's mortgage. Not much of the actual money is paying for the product itself.
Now imagine some Chink company just copies high end reels, doesn't have to give shit to KVD, Bass Pro and Cabela's aren't making their 30% profit on it, etc.
When you buy a $300Shimano, you are probably paying like $80 for the actual labor, materials, and logistics getting the reel to you. So if you buy a $100 Shishamo, you are probably paying for about $80 worth of reel shipped to your door.
I wouldn't actually buy that one but there are a whole lot for $30-$40 that would probably be $100 reels with an Abu label on it. It would be fun to abuse the hell out of it.
