I am especially obligated, because motocamping involves traveling unwalkable distances at 15-110 mph. A regular backpacker doesn't risk injury as often, but they do share the risk of getting lost when on ungroomed terrain. By choice or accident.
And I guess "survivalist" is a way to describe finding water and sheltering in place. Because if you're deep enough in for them to have to search, it makes you easier to find. Of course you would simply go home if you had the ability.
