as for the people who complain about rust, take basic care of your blade and you'll be fine, some don't like the micarta but it is easily replaced with wooden handle if you care to put in the time and make some, the sheath is good, the thumb ramp on draw really helps to naturally make the knife go away from your fingers when you draw so even if you pull really hard it wont hit you, the sheath also has some good holds for paracord wrapping and attaching a little pocket if that is your thing, over all I highly recommend it, and if you plan on bringing a smaller knife too, I would go ESEE 6
