Lil update on my first hopefully successful hot compost. Past 4 days it has been at a steady 160. I turned it today using my tractor, which was quite the chore, but I got it done fairly well. Temperature has been slowly rising throughout the day and will hopefully be back to hot by tommorow.
It was really cool seeing all the steam coming off and the smell was like hay tea except for the very bottom where it smelled like straight up piss(too much nitrogen)
