It also seems much more stable, and a boat that actually approaches a house ie you could potentially have a family and designate hulls to different purposes
The downsides I can foresee are massively increased prices: initial cost since even a budget option is rare and exotic; for hauling out and cleaning you’d have to find a specialist place; mooring must be offensively costly
