Forced to give up their boots, and their shelter was deliberately ruined.
They didn't flee the tent and cut their way out of they were likely ordered out of the entrance at gunpoint and then the tent was destroyed.
Does this look like panicked cutting of someone who can't see?
Does this look like the tent was half collapsed with avalanche debris or that there were intolerable high winds?
