OP here. Thanks for the replies. Planning a fishing trip to the Adirondacks soon. I just bought a Bare Boxer Contender. This seemed like the lightest bear canister for solo trips. I also got reflective yellow tape for it. I love prepping before heading /out/. I was thinking of keeping the canister in a small dry bag and just hanging it off a low branch or under a log but some sites said not to cause then it gives something for the bear to grab and take it. I guess I'll just wedge it between rocks or trees.
