Took wife fishing and we were catching carp one after the other. It was my first time using hair rigs and I really have a lot of faith in them now. I was using bread balls the size of a boilie and corn, just using a straightened out hook for the hair rig tool and pieces of twigs for bait stops. We caught 5 carp in an hour. They were all pretty small, the biggest was my wife's first carp it was 7 pounds. It was a lot of fun. I've caught a lot of carp, some pretty big ones too, by just putting bread and corn on the hook. But I think with these hair rigs I might actually hook into those big monster mirrors that I've seen swim pick right over my bait before.
