The victim was pulled under and drowned by an alligator in a pond behind a home near Salt Cedar Lane, Kiawah Island, South Carolina. She had gone to the home of a client for an in-home nail appointment during the COVID-19 pandemic while a lockdown was in place. A responding deputy fatally shot and retrieved the gator. [1][2]
