Pretty common now where I live.
Lightweight one in the sun, wet it if it's super hot.
Fleece one in winter.
If you get in a Real World situation, you can just pull it down around your neck.
Sun here is harsh as fuck, like <30min burn time, and this is 100% all-day effective.
For my hands I use same as

The rest of my was covered by drysuit or the peak of my helmet. Would use sunblock from cheeks down to neck - otherwise that shit ends up in your eyes. Ears were always super exposed even with sunblock, and didn't have it on my hands because it would get on my paddle, then I'd have my ass handed to me.
