What kind of knots do you guys normally use?
I used to do Trilene knots when I was younger, but then discovered the joy of the Palomar knot. It is super easy to tie and doesn't loosen up at all like lots of the bigger, complicated ones. Plus lots of tests said it holds close to all of it's strength.
And I do the double-uni knots for leaders, keeps the knots fairly low-profile so even with a 3'-4' leader, it doesn't catch on the guides and shorten casts.
