>>2755208It's true that canvas is pretty good at repelling water as-is, I have some mid-century milsurp bags and was pleasantly surprised. But they are not as good at repelling water as nylon. Nylon doesn't soak the way canvas does.
It's also true that DWR doesn't make things goretex tier, but you said canvas is "waterproof enough", so for the purposes of this conversation DWR does make things "waterproof enough" :D
