Rattlers bit my sisters border collie on her ranch and the dog now has neuropathy. I’m slaughtering everyone I see with CCi 9mm ratshot or 12 guage birdshot. I know how effective birdshot is but the ratshot is kind of a joke. I tried hitting birds with it the first day I got it and I was shooting at birds less than 10 yards and it wasn’t working at all. Probably not the greatest option but sometimes it’s all you have. Some mad man on /k/ or here I forget was using rat shot to take out snakes under houses when he crawled under there for his job. So it can be done. Here is a pic from my cabin in the mountains of CA where rattlers were such a problem at one time, there is still a “rattle snake door” so you can keep the top open in the summer without letting them in. I’ve never seen one up here now and I’m fucking glad and I’ll keep it that way. People saying not to kill the “loud” ones are so ridiculous it makes me believe this board is being raided just as hard as the others. Fuck this place.
