How good is the fishing in Australia? I've been reading up about it a little and it seems like a lot of places don't even require you to have a license. Is the fishing really good in streams and lakes? What about beach fishing, I see photos of it but I've never done beach fishing and am skeptical as to how big the fish would be around shorelines.
I'm going to be living in Australia starting in November and am wondering if I should invest in some fishing gear down there and if I should take my favourite lures and floats with me.
