>>2241511So here's my story (I've also had a weird experience involving knocking sounds but that's a different story) that involves coyotes.
>camping with 2 friends in Zaleski State forest >setup camp just off the horse trail near a small lake (not supposed to do that because it's a state forest but we didn't know)>cook dinner over the fire >string up tarp above our heads>hit the sack>trying to sleep but constant pitter patter of flying tree squirrels everywhere around us >hear a yote yote howling loud as fuck literally 25 yards away or less on the trail. >freak out and shoot my Remington 870 into the ground to scare it off>try to go to sleep again >wake up to noise of what sounds like several animals running through the leaves near us. >sounds like they fucked off so go back to sleep yet again>wake up to the sound of a growling k9 sound literally feet away from where we were all sleeping underneath the tarp, on the other side of a log we were next to. >grab my shotgun and yelled to my sleeping buddies to plug their ears>fire off a round of 00 buck over top the log>buddies freakout, told them what I heard>we kinda laugh it off and go back to sleepWell they did. I stayed awake until morning and only slepted for a little bit after sun rise.
>>2251962Yea I used to believe that. But not after the experience I had and also after a story my buddy told me about a bow hunter that shot a deer and climbed down his stand and turned around to see 3 coyotes standing 15 to 20 feet away, staring at him. I think my buddy told me they were also growling at him, don't remember though. He proceeded to draw his pistol and take care of the problem. So yea stay strapped or get clapped folks.
