>>845277Only if you really have trouble getting them out. I never do, bass have thin enough lips where it isn't an issue, sneks are ded anyway, and Mayans and Bluegill are easy enough to unhook anyway.
Maybe live bait it would be more beneficial because it is easier to hook them deep. But there is the trade-off of losing the occaisional fish you would've landed with a barb.
