>>1266801A little clay soil and some sand/silt in equal parts with the compost will do well if mixed properly.
>I can't believe I didn't harvest piss sooner. There's a huge public stigma about it throughout most of civilization. People simply can't get over that hangup. Thus, info about it isn't as wide spread and people using it in 1st world countries is extremely low.
>>1266853It is only important if you are growing in rows. Check out square foot gardening. It basically spaces the plants on a little bit more in the row direction then compresses all the rows together until the plants are at their minimum closeness. Rows are normally for industrial agriculture from like 20 years ago. Now, the "cutting edge" industrial agriculture uses boarderless raised beds that are planted more more like square foot gardening. Of course they are still monoculture. The raised beds are made, planted, and harvested all with different machinery; some of which is now automated drones.
I'm using an adapted square foot method that's mostly polycultural and a bit tighter than normal. though, for stuff like potatoes, I'm planting them as monoculture, but mixed with many cultivars.

Suttons.co.uk and
Marshalls.co.uk have both been mentioned before I think. I'm a bit jealous of some of their selections, since I can't get them in the states locally.
