There is still cool stuff to see off the roads in areas like turnagain pass, glacierview/eureka roadhouse, and broad pass.
Alaska has about 97 percent of the glacial ice in the US and our mountains generally start at around sea level, meaning they are taller than many peaks from base to summit in Colorado, which has higher elevation mountains. We also have a bunch of cool fjords and the northern lights add a nice touch to it all. Image is from a week ago in broad pass.
