If you get too tempted to buy it when at the shops then try online delivery, maybe some sites have the possibility of recurring deliveries without having to select every item over and over. This way you can stick to a diet/meal plan without drinking easily. Take this from an anon with a semi alcoholic family who struggles with drink from time to time. The only way to really stop is to stay away from it. If there's any bottles in your house, don't decide to finish them. Tell a friend why you no longer want them and give them to him. If you don't want to do that then throw them in the bin. Don't say you're wasting money. Drinking all that vodka will take a toll on your health far greater than the cost of the bottle. Throwing it away will ultimately save you money.
Obviously, keep going /out/ while you're trying to lose weight just don't do anything extreme because your diet will likely leave you with less energy than usual. My favourite thing to do is swimming in the sea, I live in Scotland so the temperatures are quite low which I like. Even on days where I have no energy it's not hard to float and half heartedly kick my legs. It's more calming than a jog or a hike due to not being sweaty. It's also very good for losing weight because your body will expend extreme amounts of energy trying to stay warm.
The most important thing is hitting the balance between dedication and relaxation. While you need to have the persistence to focus on dieting consistently and finishing your hikes, you need to make sure you remember the goal. Being able to relax and enjoy the outdoors for what it is instead of treating everything like an insurmountable challenge.
