>>1339375For summer alpinism I use a down sleeping bag rated to -5 degrees C, and a foam rollmat (Thermarest Z-lite is good). That's usually fine for a bivvy, even on snow. For snowy alpinism you normally wake at 3ish so you're moving through the coldest part of the night. For rock alpinism you tend to sleep later unless the descent is snowy, so you get a proper night's sleep.
A nice warm synthetic fill jacket is nice too, or a down jacket, for when stationary. I'm more often too hot than too cold climbing in the european alps.
Enjoy your climbing, alpinism is a dangerous game but it can be made as safe as possible.
