>>1264775The chickens in my orchard did outstanding at getting rid of any beetles that made it down from above. I went around, early in the morning when it was cold, and wiggled the plants and trees enough for the slow moving beetles to fall off (that's their first line of defense when disturbed). The chickens scarfed them up. The stuff in my garden like the greenbeans....well they didn't fair so well even when I was collecting 2 cups worth of Japanese beetles every single morning and feeding them to the chickens.
