>>1221234I'm not sure what quality of material you're expecting to put into a house of the type which requires you analyse the weight of everything you're carrying. I just sold my old 79 which I'd been in for a year and a half, bought it for 2k and sold for 2k. Granted I did a lot to it in the last year and sure it was rusted to shit and coming unglued, but it was cozy and still going strong. I'd still have it if I didn't get another one ten years newer for a steal of a price. My 79 had 65k miles when I sold it and got about 12-15mpg, 350 small block, on a G30 chassis - which means that aside from the house on the back, it's essentially the exact same van as an old work van.
I think the point to be made here is that people who are setting out to do this, people that are actually going to do this and not just talk or plan about it all day, without any previous knowledge beyond what they watch on YouTube, are going to fall into two primary categories; people who want to have everything planned with money and people who want to wing it and learn as they go, necessity or otherwise.
