You can do that with a stock pot that has a bowl inside for catching the good water and a large metal bowl on top filled with water to condensate and drip into the lower bowl inside. Just put dirty water into the stock pot and boil it. Like in this image. I do this all the time for water purification. You don't need ice water in the top either, just room temp or even hot water will work very well.
