Take Psilocybe cyanescens for example.
I think I found them, but I just can't be sure. I look it up and people warn others that there are a lot of lookalikes that are deadly.
I look that up and the only ''lookalike'' that looks even remotely similar is Galerina. Other ''lookalikes'' have completely different shapes and colors. Yet I still can't make sure I found the right stuff, there's just not enough information online.
Maybe if I had a microscope I could make sure by looking at the spores, but other than that I am going completely blind here. Eating any of these is taking a gamble.
