did someone say
>dinkposting?i feel like an idiot because with my last cast i tied a popper on to my 8 weight, casted next to some lilly pads, and a bass hit. instead of setting the hook like someone who isn't retarded i gave my popper another pop, had him hooked for half a second, and then he came off.
>>1285556here's a complete list of knots you should know
>double uni>palomar knot>fg knotuse the palomar knot when you're tying on a lure, hook, swivel, or whatever of that sort
use the double uni for connecting mono to flouro or mono to mono
use the fg knot when you are connecting braid to mono or flouro. i like to melt the tag of the mono in to a little mushroom shape using a lighter just because it gives me a little confidence that if the knot slips it can't slip past that little thick spot.
if you want to add one more, a no-slip loop knot is a good one to have. if you're fishing a jig or something similar (say, a bucktail jig) the loop knot will let it move more freely and have better action
you can find videos on all these knots online.
