All the meat birds are new chicks in one coop while I have another coop with the layers (pic related). I also started those layers from chicks just a few months ago.
I’m wondering how I should manage a breeding program for my layer and/or meat birds. For example, can I cross breed ameraucanas with something like buff orpingtons to get a more broody colored layer that dresses out well enough? Posting my flock compositions below.
