If you get employed/hired by the Ski resort itself you'll likely get a free season pass or staff pass with the job.
BUT
They will hold that shit over you as a bargaining chip for anything.
If you break any rules (on the job or as a pass-user on your days off) they'll revoke your pass.
If you get fired you lose your pass.
In some resorts where a season pass is $2k for the season it ends up being a lot of money if you lose your pass halfway through the season you can be shit out of luck.
Also because of the pass they often only give you minimum wage (or less) or take some money out of your pay because "you're getting a free ski pass :^)"
NEVER volunteer for the mountain to get a free pass. They'll use you as slave labor.
My advice is get a good solid job not associated with the hill if at all possible, but if you're set on applying for the hill itself then by all means.
>>1423363shit's competitive and you're kind of late to the party.
you want to be applying for the ski hill in like september or october a couple of months before season starts.
by November or December most of the jobs and apartments to rent are filled. You generally always want to be in the ski town 2 months before the ski hill opens
They'll likely wont care about anyone not already in town.
if you get lucky you MIGHT get in mid-season because of people quitting/getting fired in the first month or two.
Also I forgot pic from my last post.
If anything spend a good $10 on a pair of quality ear plugs like this.
Shit'll save you many hours of lost sleep when you're 11 housemates in your 3 bedroom apartment are partying and doing coke until 4am on a work night every night.
