me and the wife made some stick people and hung em in the trees with grass around camp one time inna idaho panhandle/couer d'alene national forest for a couple weeks. just as high as we could reach, maybe 6 of em. didn't think of them as creepy or anything.
few nights later, giant storm. rekt tent, barely stayed dry. get up in the morning, break down camp, head down mountain to dry shit off in the sun. ended up hanging out in the park all day by the lake there in CDA, so when we go back up it's nighttime. get back up on top of the mountain to our camp, good 3 hour drive from town. dog is all growly. start putting up tent, remember stick people, look for em but i don't see them right away because they're all 6 foot higher in the tree than when we hung them, still tied with grass.
so, not only they survived the storm but climbed the tree way higher than we could ever have reached. can't explain it. it creeped us out so we just moved spots.
pic related, piece of shit road to .5 mi hike in to our camp at the top of a mountain.
