Skid, I wanted to post a fish caught on one of your flies, but I am still learning casting, and lost 2 like right off the bat. I searched all over around where I was casting, but no luck. I haven’t given up recovering them though. My back cast was going too far back and needed serious work, and the tutorials you linked me have been a huge help. I was definitely trying too hard and not using the momentum of the rod tip to propel the lure. I’m used to slinging lures after all. I switched over to a 1/32 oz jig head with a skirt for the time being, and have been catching really well though. I’ve gotten lots of bream, little largemouth bass, and one yellow bass. I got out to practice this morning and caught 2 of these guys. Nothing big, but I’m definitely improving my presentation I think. I promise to post as soon as I catch with one of your flies, but I don’t want to lose any more. Once I feel more confident in my own ability, I’m on it. Thanks for your support in getting me into a new type of fishing. I’m enjoying it immensely.
