They have the advantage of being able to be crushed flat a couple of times, so I can take 2 or 3 of them in the 'light storage' bag hanging off the back of the motorbike-- and later filling them at a stream to take back water to camp, then not needing to refill for the rest of the night.
If I drank cheap wine, I could also go with a Stanley Cask bladder.
