>>1932334>Have you never renovated your home or do you just rent a shitty little apartment in the city? I rent a nice big apartment in the city because the life, well being and future prospects of my wife and kid is worth more to me than my dream of living in a mountain homestead.
But eventually (especially with home office becoming more common) we're gonna buy a house and land in the countryside (though close to a town, kids (and us adults too) need to socialize, lest they grow up to be incel weirdos, as illustrated ITT). Currently got 100k saved up, so getting close to actually be able to afford something.
Oh, and I have renovated houses and flats with friends and family, and the normal course of action is to keep your old place until you get your new place into liveable conditions. Like, fix up the kitchen, bath and living room so that you have a base to live in from which you start.
So for a shed, I'd at least have put in insulation, drywall
and flooring as well as a bathroom (which is literally a weekends worth of work and less than 5k in supplies.
Oh, and I totally forgot:
>my plan is to make cheese and artisanal ham and sell itI don't really care for 100% up to regulations ISOwhatnot-certified sterile production, but I certainly wouldn't eat anything that's produced in a meth-den.
Some true artisan made stuff that's made by a family in an old farm who's been doing that for hundreds of years? Fine, they probably know what they're doing, but OP is just the same as all the hipsters starting craft beer breweries, just less sanitary even.
