I have spent a month and a half backpacking all over Colorado - Rockies, San Juans, San Luis, Sand Dunes, Mesa, Front Range, La Plata - and to be honest, consider that state just ever-so-barely superior to Washington.
But this motherfucker was the most beautiful mountain I've ever seen. 9,000 feet of vertical prominence. Glaciers the size of Boston hanging off it in the middle of a drought in June.
