portability and swapping draw weights, which you may want to do if you want to gradually move up in weight. you might not need to do that since you're an experienced archer and i'm sure shooting compound trains the right muscles to some degree. keep in mind though that a 40# draw feels very fucking different when you gotta hold it all while aiming and making adjustments. i started with a samick sage which a lot of people recommend, although you'll probably want to change the string it comes with to a fast flight.
