Yes wire leader for blues
I personally really like bluefish but they get oilier as the season goes on. I missed the most productive month because wife had surgery and I couldn't leave her alone. Just prior there were shools of pogie everywhere and always blues under them.
Stripers are pretty much gone now but occasional 30+ #'s still being caught.
