>>1647208>I've never been in a jungle, are the trees there climbable at all?Theoretically I suppose. When I was in Brazil the locals would link their arms around the trunk and sort of crab walk up certain trees to reach fruit.
>>1647227>Fug, I knew about her being an avid hiker but not into that. She makes this fuckup all more strange.I'm pretty skeptical of those sorts of titles. They are applied to people so casually. Occasionally do a day hike? Then you're a "hiker". Do a peakbag/summit once over the summer? Then you're a "mountaineer". For example, here in Colorado everyone describes themselves as "outdoorsy". What that actually means? Who the hell knows lol
>>1647330>One thing I can't comprehend, how the fuck didn't the huge SAR effort find any clues? It was tick jungle but fucking hell it was a trail after all.The actual SAR teams didn't get there for a few days and when they did it wasn't totally clear where exactly they were supposed to be. It's pretty amazing they found anything at all given how far off the trail they got and how dense the jungle was.
