if you know how to use maps you can easily avoid any tourist trap and go hiking in any remote slope/mountain/mountain chain you want without encountering absolutely no-one.
i always avoid the summer, using trails (off-trail hiking and small-scale geographical exploration are my specialty) and being a brainlet and i'm fine
