They pack right into a little bag, and can handle a surprising amount. If you really want to pack on gear and fish hard, get a hard fishing kayak, 10 foot or so, or a paddle board, which has always been my preference. Haven't been around the thread in a while, but I have poorfagged a paddle board into a very sufficient and transportable kayak. I have a small fish finder that helps a ton, and a jigging set up now that I've added a chair. I'm always adding to this old girl, but it's paid out in droves. Here's a crap picture.
