>>1146974That's why I would never consider a real career in astronomy. That romantic feel that astronomy once had is starting to disappear. Astronomers hardly look through a telescope anymore, it's all done by electronics. They don't even sit in the same room as the telescope. Not that there's anything wrong with that but you can only get that true sense of wonder if you see these objects with your own eyes.
